YOUR
RENOVATION OR EXTENSION
The
Archicentre Renovator Report
Your Report is a feasibility
study showing you the best way to go about your home improvement.
You receive a clear idea of the design possibilities, before
actually committing yourself to starting the project.
|
YOUR
NEW HOME
The
Archicentre New Home Report
Your architect will create the best house
plan to suit all your needs. Your Report shows you how to
make the best use of your block of land, turning disadvantages
into advantages. Your house can be built in any style for
any shape block.
|
For a low-cost fixed fee, you will get:
A sketch of the
existing floor plan (Renovator Report only) and a carefully considered
sketch design proposal.
A written Report describing what
is involved in the design.
An opinion of the probable cost
of the building work.
Technical information sheets where
relevant.

HOW
THE SERVICES WORK
Email
or Fax Archicentre to begin
The first step is to telephone our service staff
at Archicentre.
We will enquire about your intended building
project and then select a suitable architect.
Your booking will be confirmed by mail and will
include the name and telephone number of your architect.
Included will be further information on preparing
for your architect's visit.
Selection of your Architect
The
selection process eliminates the time and trouble otherwise needed
to select a suitable designer. Archicentre's 'match-up' process
is one of the reasons for our Reports' popularity. We select an
architect conversant with the types of construction appropriate
to your project. Other criteria for selecting your architect are
proximity, workloads and compatible points of view, ensuring good
client-architect communication and thus a good design result.
The Architect's Visit
Your architect will telephone to introduce him
or herself, and to arrange a visit to your home, or your building
site. You are also welcome to contact your architect to arrange
your preferred visit time.
Because your needs are individual, the approach
your architect takes at the consultation will be an individual
one. Discussion may involve examining pictures you have cut out,
photographs of the architect's past work or instead a broad general
discussion of the design process. Your architect may offer preliminary
design solutions on the spot while recieving your response or
input
Presentation of Report
Your architect will prepare your Report, and
normally present it within a few weeks of the meeting. You will
be provided with clear directions on how to complete your building
project in the best way.
WHAT
WILL YOUR DESIGN REPORT ACHIEVE FOR YOU?
Design
Quality
You will see how a professional's input adds
quality to your home improvement or new house.
Your architect will produce a comfortable, logically
set-out design solution which considers (for example) space restrictions,
privacy, noise, energy efficiency, cost effective materials, design
trends and environmental considerations, maximising view potential,
providing for later stages of building, all in accordance with
your priorities. This adds up to greater enjoyment and resale
value of your home.
|
More 'Freedom to Choose'
You
can choose to involve your architect in the Design and Working
Drawing Stages which follow the Report. If so, you then
have the freedom to shop around confident all builders are
quoting on the same job, and you can select the best, on
quality and price.
Selecting this option normally saves thousands of dollars,
which often pays for all architectural costs and can produce
a better quality, trouble-free project.
|
 |
You can choose to have your architect approach
builders whose quality is known or to offer your project to all
builders via competitive tender for an open markets price.
With your architect-quality Working Drawings
you can choose to do some of the work yourself, and you can choose
to have your architect observe and report on construction, for
quality control, smooth-running and cost control reasons.
Freedom from Moral Obligation
The Archicentre Report system is different to
obtaining a building company's free design and quote and feeling
you have to continue with that company; feeling locked into the
one-design, one-price and one-quality of construction.
For more information on the value of an architect,
feel free to ask for Archicentre's Working with your Architect
pamphlet.
