IS ARCHICENTRE?
ARCHICENTRE IS THE HOME ADVISORY DIVISION OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN
INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS
Archicentre
was set up over 15 years ago to provide architectural services
to home buyers, new home builders and renovators. The services
are packaged into streamlined set-fee, set-service formats so
that people can have access to architects who may not have used
them otherwise.
After
observing an architect's expertise at first hand, many proceed
with ongoing architectural services being now confident of obtaining
value for money.
Archicentre
architects number well over 500 Australia-wide and are available
in nearly every suburb and just about any region, to promptly
perform professional services. We have offices Melbourne,
Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Darwin and branches
in many regional centres.
Archicentre
performs home inspections for buyers and owners, not only reporting
on the property's current condition from top to bottom, but also
providing an on-site architect's qualified tips on the property's
potential for improvement, if the buyer wants to know. We
regularly update our suburb-by-suburb fault-summary findings which
are useful for potential buyers who can see what the likely housing
faults are in their suburb of selection.
We
distribute free technical advice to thousands of home buyers across
the country, through our series of Homebuyer seminars run in most
States. The gratis advice is the result of our accumulated
expertise on identifying house faults and providing remedies for
them. We are joined by professionals from the Law, Real
Estate, CPA and other Institutes on these occasions, all providing
their expert advice for free.
For
the renovating public and those building new houses, we provide
again a visiting architect through our Renovator and `New Home'
services. The design report that the client receives is
in effect a slice of architectural advice, with clever cost efficient
and capital-improved designs; advice on building contracts; tendering
to get the best price and quality from the builders, coping with
building permits, town planning and all the things you need to
know before embarking on this adventure and making a success of
it.
Our
briefest service, the Architects Advice, offers professional advice
on specific issues: from a homeowner's building fault to the review
of a house plan and any other technical matters.

information on everything to do with housing is given out to thousands
of enquirers every year. Advice includes technical sheets
on house faults, design issues and the benefits you can expect
from using an architect. This internet site is aimed at providing
information on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.
