The recent fall by President Clinton has prompted a get well message from Australia down under on the internet from an Australian internet site which involves one of Australia's best known childrens characters Freddo Frog who is spearheading a child safety programme called Look Before You Leap.
The green web is conducting the campaign in conjunction with KIDSAFE the Australian Child Accident Prevention Council has commenced it's campaigns with a preventitive message of assessing areas where falls can occur.
Freddo Frog a small chocolate frog who is sixty nine years old and has 120 million contacts a year with Australian consumers appears on the Australian environmental site called greenweb.com.au promoting environmental and safety issues to children.
Freddo who has a recognition rate of 98% is considered one of Australia's icons.
Managing Director of the green web Mr. Ron Smith said, "the internet cheerio wishing President Clinton well was also to highlight the fact that everyone including the most powerful person in the world susceptable to simple accidents."
"The accident also highlights the statistic that the vast majority of accidents happen in domestic situations".
Mr. Smith said," the principals of the Freddo Frog Look Before You Leap campaign can be applied world wide".
In Australia where our population is relatively small there are over 5000 accidents a day where on average 200 children are hospitalised each day.
Mr. Smith said," the greenweb.com.au would be sending President Clinton a Freddo Frog Safety T-Shirt and a box of Freddo Frogs to keep in the desk at the White House."
"The green web will also be asking President Clinton for a special personal message asking people around the world to participate in child accident prevention and "Look Before You Leap"
