The Green Web an Australian environmental Internet site has announced the first in a range of T-shirts and Windcheaters featuring Australia's most famous children's character Freddo Frog at the opening of Toy and Hobby Fair in Melbourne.
Freddo Frog first appeared in Australia some 69 years ago and has over 120 million contacts with consumers every year and research has revealed a high level of recognition.
Mr Ron Smith, Managing Director of the Green Web Pty Ltd said, "the marketing of the T-shirts on the Internet site would complement Freddo Frog's Environmental and Child Safety Campaigns on the green web.
Freddo Frog is featured on the first T-shirt to be released surfing the green web with the Internet address along the side of his surf board.
Mr Smith said, "the garments produced under licence from Cadbury will also be made available to schools, charities, community groups, environmental groups and clubs for fundraising."
"Part of the Green Web's charter as a corporate operation is to create opportunites for the spreading of environmental messages and fundraising for groups is part of the program."
"The Green Web Freddo Frog T-shirt and Windcheater collection will feature Freddo as an active sporting character surfing, playing basket ball, snow boarding and roller blading."
The awareness of Freddo as a national icon with sixty nine years of high level exposure as a friendly and caring character provides an instant major brand awareness of the greenweb Freddo Surf Shirt collection, Mr Smith said.
