Freddo Frog surfs the Green Web
It's official!
Freddo Frog, Australia's most famous frog has signed an exclusive contract to appear in the greenweb.com.au, an Australian GREEN internet site to promote environmental, community awareness and safety compaigns.
Cadbury today announced the career move for the famous Australian icon saying Freddo who had over 120 millon contacts annually with consumers was looking forward to establishing his home page on greenweb.com.au
Cadbury Marketing Manager, Mr Tim Stanford, also announced the appointment of Mr Ron Smith, a well known publicist and the creator of the Freddo Frog internet site, as Freddo's manager, to assist Freddo in coping with his busy schedule and community awareness campaigns.
Mr Smith commenting on his new appointment said "With a recognition rate of 98% and a presence in over twenty thousand locations throughout Australia, Freddo Frog has been one of Australia's major icons for over four generations."
Children of all ages who visit Freddo at greenweb.com.au will have a lot of Green Fun and be able to write to him personally (Freddo has just got a lap top and is learning about Email), play Freddo games, check out Freddo's Enviro Tips, print out and colour in a number of Freddo's special pages, sign the visitors book at the pond and even have a peep at Freddo's diary (you would never guess who Freddo has been seeing).
Mr Smith said, "energetic visitors to the site who wanted adventure will be able to take part in Freddo's Wild Leap which meant people could end up anywhere in the world."
Another favorite will be Freddo's beaut places to visit which will provide parents with information on areas of children's activities and tourism facilities.
"Visitors to Freddo's pond were likely to run into Freddo's friends such as Garry Gumnut his neighbour who lives up one of the gum trees and Caramello Koala often drops in for a chat."
Mr Smith said,"apart from Freddo's environmental campaigning he was also concerned for the safety of children and spearhead a child safety campaign "Look Before You Leap".
