The Association promotes the use of horticulture as a recreational and therapeutic activity and encourages groups such as nursing homes, daycare centres, special accommodation units, special schools, and rehabilitation centres to include gardening in their programs. The Association also encourages gardening for isolated and elderly people within the community.
The Horticultural Therapy Association of Victoria has also joined Green Web Gardening Round Table which is involved in the development and promotion of 'The Garden of Life' program.
Green Web Gardening welcomes the involvement of the Horticultural Therapy Association of Victoria Inc. and its members on this site to promote and expand the valuable work being undertaken daily in the community.
