The Shed
The garden shed is commonly used to store a range of hazardous substances ranging from pesticides and weedicides to eradicate bugs and weeds in the garden to car care products and petrol for the lawn mower.

These can all be poisonous to small children and some of these substances may react dangerously if mixed. For this reason, it is important to ensure these substances are stored separately at least 1.5 metres off the ground in a locked shed. Regularly and safely dispose of unwanted pesticides or other dangerous substances from your shed. Ask your local council for advice.

Remember to be aware of hazardous and invisible fumes that can come from substances opened in confined areas.
